Oregon Seniors Connect!
Oregon Senior Peer Outreach
There is no need to go it alone!
Dear Oregon Senior Connect Participant,
It is with heavy hearts that we are writing to inform you that the Oregon Senior Peer Outreach program is closing for the time being. We will need to stop our peer support group meetings and activities at the end of this month: June 30, 2022.
While it is possible that the state will provide funding to OSPO at a later date, for now our top priority is assisting each person to connect with other available activities or supports.
We encourage you not to go it alone! Here is a list of some Oreong statewide options for peer support conversations.
- Oregon Warmline 1-800-698-2932
- Senior Loneliness Line 1-800-282-7035
- ADRC (Resources) 1-855-673-2372 Hey
- Peers (Online Groups) https://heypeers.com/meetings_list
- A program of Front Porch https://covia.org/programs/social-call/
It has been our great honor and pleasure to connect with you and walk this stretch of the journey in your company.

Todd.Trautner@Ccsemail.OrgHello to all my Oregon Senior Connect peers. All of us peers here at the Oregon Senior Peer Outreach program look forward to all the future online weekly groups we will be co-creating and co-experiencing together. Together as older adults we can work to support one another in learning the online technology skills needed to make online peer support groups a reality in more of our peers lives. We will be beginning a new weekly series under the title of Peer Perspectives on Thursday December 2nd at 3:00-4:00 p.m . Peer Perspectives will run till February 10th, 2022. See you there!Admin

MarkI am a peer supporter since 1999 when I was hired to work in a residential treatment facility in Josephine county Oregon.. My first experience with peer support was informally with 3 friends in the 70s who reached out to me after a group therapy session. They were so encouraging: I felt like I mattered for the first time with real people in real life , who knew I was struggling emotional issues. From this point on I had direction in my work, education, and spiritual life. I strive to learn with supporting others in sharing our untold stories and creating better self care for lifeAdmin
