Organization Trained Peer Supporter
Hi, my name is Cris and I struggled for years with bipolar disorder, C-PTSD as a result of domestic violence and horrible anxiety /panic disorder. I am here to listen, without judgment, and walk with you on your personal journey to wellness and recovery from mental illness. Together we can create "your" recovery plan and work together on your journey.
I’m a full-time Peer Support Specialist diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder 1 with psychosis, rapid cycling, and mixed episodes. Also, C-PTSD with panic/anxiety disorder from years of domestic violence, and I have ADD. My recovery journey started about 7 years ago. My passion and purpose are to walk with you on your wellness and recovery jpurney, and hopefully, you won't have to suffer through what I did going it alone. I am in the process of becoming a Nationally Certified Peer Support Specialist.
Recovery StoryRecovery is a process and a journey that doesn't end. I've been stable for several years with mountains and valleys along the way. Learning about my illness, self-care, and a multitude of coping skills has helped me function successfully and live a satisfying life. This is my goal for you.
My Motivation To HelpI am passionate about recovery and working to help you succeed on your wellness and recovery journey. I want everyone with a mental illness to live a fulfilling, productive life that helps them be proud of who they are. I hate mental illness and its control over people's lives. Let’s kick mental illness’ a$$ together.
