Hi, I’m Missy. My goal is to help anyone struggling with addiction, mental health, and any hard times in life. The worst feeling is not having anyone to talk to without feeling judged or misunderstood. I’m here to be that person that listens, truly cares, and have been through so much trauma, etc in my life that I really get it.
Willing to help others find local resources
I have been through many stages of recovery and I’m now in a place where I feel stable with my sobriety. I went through numerous treatments, but I actually did not get sober after any of them. I got to a point in my life where I had to really look at myself and my life, and decided enough was enough. I’ve had people that gave me chances and I found a great psych doctor who helped immensely. My recovery is full of many different aspects that together worked for me.
My Motivation To Help
I have two main reasons that motivate me to help others. The first is that I lost my only son to suicide this year and I want to do whatever I can to prevent other families from having this devastating loss in their lives. Another reason this means so much to me is because I wish I had someone to talk to that I knew understood and wasn’t judging me. I felt so alone in this world, I was suicidal myself, and I don’t believe ANYONE should feel that alone.
