State Certified Peer Supporter

Accepting New Connections

It is my goal to offer hope, compassion, empathy and trauma-informed peer support. I know the healing power when there is connection. I love seeing others feel empowered to live their best life. There is power in healing when we are able to connect with individuals with similar life experiences. This power can be found within each of us when we are vulnerable enough to go out of our comfort zones and seek support. As a Certified Peer Support Specialist I believe each individual who has suffered from trauma, addiction, and/or mental illness has the ability to achieve their life goals.

My Recovery Story

Advocating started the day my husband and I adopted a 4 yr old with significant mental health challenges. Little did I know that passion would turn into not only advocating for my child but myself. It quickly became something I was passionate about. Two decades later my journey to healing has been messy but worth every step of the way. Connecting with others with similar experiences has been a large part of my healing journey and why I decided to become a Certified Peer Support Specialist. I value each of my peer relationships and have learned so much from each person I meet.

My Motivation To Help

Brene' Brown says it best. "I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship."
