About Jess

I believe that everyone deserves unconditional love. That is my starting point. Beyond that, having shared experiences makes life fulfilling and manageable. I feel that the best way to help others is to empower their own autonomy so that they can make their own decisions. Everyone's path towards recovery is unique, and there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all solution. It is my job to help you navigate what your best recovery path, and provide support and encouragement along the way. I became a certified peer support specialist through DBSA. I currently work as a caregiver for a man with Alzheimer's Disease. I love learning and continual self-improvement. In my free time I enjoy practicing the saxophone, piano, singing, writing, and the Italian language. I am always looking for ways to grow and improve.

Recovery Story

I have had several bouts of depression with suicidality, and a couple bouts of mania in my life. Through much work, I am now stable, healthy, and have control over my moods.

My Motivation To Help

I have suffered deeply for many years with my mood disorder. If I can help one person to suffer less by listening, supporting, and sharing our struggle together, I will be content.
