Organization Trained Peer Supporter
Accepting New Connections
I am passionate about helping people navigate mental health. From the time I was 11, I have been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, Panic Disorder, Emetophobia, OCD, Bipolar II, and Major Depressive Disorder. My diagnoses don't define me, though! Today, I live a full meaningful life. I practice meditation and mindfulness and I specialize in self-love and changing your thought patterns.
After spending most of my life afraid, codependent, and debilitatingly depressed, I finally decided to choose something else. I spent years dedicating my life to recovery. I got off all medication, despite doctors telling me that I would always need it. I got a job and kept it after a decade of being unable to stay employed due to severe anxiety. And most of all, I left a ten-year, toxic relationship and learned how to really love myself. Today, I strive to live in the moment and choose only what brings value to my life. Recovery is a life long journey and I am in for the long haul. :)
My Motivation To Help
When I was going through my darkest times, I didn't know anyone who could relate to how I felt. My family members just wanted to fix it, and my friends stopped caring. That's exactly why I became a Peer Support Specialist. I want everyone to know they're not alone.
