Recovery in the later years of life
MentorshipLet's navigate recovery in the later years of life. No matter what you are in recovery for come and get support and community.
Recovery for people in the later years of life is so different as it is for younger people. I grew up in the era where substance use disorder and mental health was hush hush and nobody talked about it. I talk more freely about addiction and mental health with my grandchildren than I do with my children. I hope and pray that these cycles will be broken with the younger generation and I want to be a part of giving them the knowledge and support about these issues so they are aware and will seek help if they are experiencing symptoms..

About The Host
My name is Cindy and I have been in recovery for 21 years. After a divorce 26 years ago, I spiraled out of control with substance abuse and mental health issues. At the beginning of my recovery I discovered my purpose and that purpose is too support people who struggle with substance abuse and mental health issues. I have continued to discover who I am through peer support where my story and the story of others has given me the freedom to work on the best version of myself. I can not change anyone but I certainly can support others to offer hope and peace.
