Some emotions don't knock. They kick the door in, fill the room, and suddenly you're managing the flood while also trying to remember where you left your keys. This session is built for that. In the session, we start by mapping what your emotions tend to do when they arrive that way — shutdown, explosion, spiraling thoughts, urges, the body signals that show up first. From there, you choose one skill-set based on what you need most today: riding the wave until the peak passes, grounding when the body's in overdrive, slowing the chain before it reaches the action end, or finding words for high-intensity moments that feel more like yours. Working through one recent situation together, we'll track what happened, what your body registered, what thoughts followed, and what you felt pulled toward doing. The point is to find where you had more room than it felt like you did — and to practice stepping into it. When you're ready, the session closes with something you've already tried in real time: a skill that lives in the body now, a phrase you can use with yourself when shame shows up at the door uninvited. By the end of the session, you'll have: * A clear emotion pattern map for one recent situation * One DBT-informed skill practiced step-by-step, in real time * A 24-hour coping plan for the next time the urge-wave rises * One compassionate phrase for yourself when shame shows up A note on scope. This is peer support coaching, grounded in DBT-informed skills and lived experience. It works alongside therapy, treatment, or other supports you already have. If something in the session points toward a need for more intensive care, we'll talk through where to find it. About The Host

You're here because something hurts, and if your pain is real, you belong here. I'm Antonio, though most people call me Tony or ACE. I'm a Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPS-P) who has lived with complex PTSD, anxiety, and bipolar depression, and I've walked through my own recovery as someone who lived it: the setbacks, the 2 AM panic, the mornings when getting out of bed felt like lifting a building. I know what it means to sit with what's hard and not know if you'll make it through—and I also know you can. I'm not here to fix you. You're not broken. I'm here to walk alongside you while you figure out what comes next, at your pace, on your terms, with presence and empathy and the kind of understanding that only comes from having been there yourself. I trained through the Academy of Peer Services, hold my CPS-P credential from the New York State Certification Board, and bring over three decades of lived experience alongside eight years working in mental health and addiction recovery. You don't have to have the right words or have it figured out. You just have to show up. Book a session and let's start where you are.
