About this meeting
This free, peer-led support group is for adults (18+) who identify as both BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) and LGBTQ+, and who are living with a mental illness. Connect with others who share these intersecting identities, and gain insight from the challenges, strengths, and successes of people with similar lived experiences. The group is facilitated by trained peer leaders with lived experience. Meetings are 90 minutes long and are held weekly.

NAMI Minnesota champions justice, dignity and respect for all people affected by mental illnesses. Through education, support and advocacy we strive to eliminate the pervasive stigma of mental illnesses, affect positive changes in the mental health system, and increase the public and professional understanding of mental illnesses.

NAMI Minnesota offers many support groups for adults living with mental illnesses and their families. Our free support groups are led by trained volunteers with lived experience. Support groups provide a welcoming, respectful, and safe space to build awareness and understanding while learning from and connecting with others.  The two main populations we serve are adults living with mental illnesses and adults with loved ones who are living with mental illnesses.
