About this meeting
This bi-monthly online perimenopause support group is a confidential, peer-led space for women navigating hormonal transition and the emotional impact of midlife change.
Have you been thinking:
“Why do I feel unlike myself?”
Are you experiencing:
• Anxiety that wasn’t there before
• Mood swings that feel uncharacteristic
• Irritability or sudden anger
• Insomnia, 3am wake-ups or sleep disruption
• Brain fog
• Fatigue
• Emotional sensitivity
• Feeling overwhelmed by things you used to handle
Perimenopause and menopause can quietly destabilize mood, sleep, confidence, and identity.
You are not imagining it.
And you are not alone.
What Makes This Perimenopause Support Group Different?
This is peer-led support — not medical advice.
As a Certified Peer Support Specialist (CMPSS) living in perimenopause myself, I understand:
• The anxiety that appears out of nowhere
• The mood shifts that feel disorienting
• The sleep struggles
• The frustration with being dismissed
• The identity changes that no one prepares you for
Here, we talk honestly about what this transition is really like — without minimizing or fixing.
What to Expect in Meetings
• Gentle check-ins
• Conversations about mood and hormonal changes
• Sleep and anxiety discussion
• Exploring patterns and triggers
• Realistic coping strategies
• Space to speak openly without judgment
Whether you are early in perimenopause or well into menopause, you are welcome here.
These meetings typically run the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month at
4:30 PM PT / 6:30 PM CT / 7:30 PM ET
Looking for my PMDD & Severe PMS Support Group? We now meet 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month.
(Know you are welcome any week if you need a hormonal support group, perimenopause can begin as early as our 30's.)
This group is for women personally experiencing hormonal transition symptoms. Not for observers or professional training.
If you feel like your nervous system has changed and feel like talking about it, come sit with us.
You don’t have to navigate this season alone.
About the host
I’m a certified peer support specialist and coach living in Southern California, I host support groups meetings on HeyPeers and also work one-on-one helping support peers with BFRB recovery and recovery from other compulsive behaviors, habits and unhelpful thoughts. I identify as a neurodivergent woman and mother with ADHD, PMDD, and sensory differences. Since 2020 I’ve been in recovery from skin picking disorder (also known as dermatillomania and excoriation disorder). I’ve since learned that this compulsive habit is called BFRB - Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors. I believe in the power of community and have been attending various types of support groups since 2017. In my free time I like to craft with yarn and spend time outdoors hiking while looking for pretty rocks.
Motivation for help
After 4 years of successful recovery I knew I had enough recovery experience to be a helpful support for others struggling with compulsive habits. I decided to completed the training and testing to get my peer support certification, so I can be a productive helper from a place of lived experience. I’ve embraced my sensory needs and learned tools and strategies to stay recovered, and I love holding space for others to find their own healing and recovery.
I’m inspired to share my message of hope for the possibility of a better future by facilitating groups and holding space for one-on-one support, as well as offering encouragement and accountability.
