About this meeting
Depression, bipolar, and other persistent mood disorders don’t stop when life happens. There’s still jobs, relationships, sleep, laundry, bills, and that one text you’ve been meaning to answer for three days. The mental gremlins don’t care how burnt out, numb, or alone you feel in all this. But we do. This group is a weekly space to help you carry the weight: low moods, mixed states, isolation, tanked motivation, setbacks, small wins, and the weird middle ground where you’re functioning but definitely not fine. You are welcome to talk, use the chat, or keep your camera off and just listen. Lurking until you feel comfortable is completely fine. Share what’s happening, hear from folks with similar experiences, and find your reset for the week ahead.

About the host
My brain's… a lot. If yours is too, you're in good company! At my core, I'm a punkish creative & introspective nerd type. Hence why I get along with misfits so well. But I've spent most of my life feeling out of step—too much, not enough, and under a dark cloud I couldn't name. In my 30s I discovered I'm autistic with a side helping of ADHD. That was on top of a long history of anxiety, anorexia, trauma, and depression telling me I'm garbage. Footnote: I'm not, and you're probably not either. Life's thrown me its share of UGH and I've spent a lot of time learning to stop hating my brain. Still kind of a love/hate relationship, actually. But progress is progress. On paper, I’m a Certified Peer Support Specialist with ongoing training and all that. In practice, I’m just someone who’s been through a lot of the same mental health mess and sits in it with you.
Motivation for help
I needed support once, and no one was there. I never want anyone to feel as alone as I was. That's it. I want to shrink down the scariness we all face and remind people they're not as isolated in those feelings as they think. All the years I lost to depression and self-destruction—I can't get those back. But I can make them mean something by showing up for people going through their own version of it. I'm in your corner. Because, damn, somebody has to be.
