About this meeting
The AARP Fraud Victim Support Group provides individuals with an online forum to meet and interact with others who have experienced similar events. Our sessions are a safe environment to give and receive valuable feedback and support from others who are on the road to emotional healing and recovery.
Group sessions are confidential and led by trained facilitators who offer fraud education and understanding to participants, as well as time for meaningful peer-to-peer sharing and support.
You don’t have to be the primary victim to attend. If you are a family member, partner or friend of a fraud victim, we welcome and encourage you to participate.
Experiencing fraud can be devastating, and you can recover from the trauma it causes. Take the first steps in your emotional recovery journey by attending a session today.
About the host
My love of technology lead to my education and career focus in electronics. We live in a very challenging, technical world and keeping up feels daunting at times. I love helping others facing these challenges. We are all unstoppable when we engage learning as a lifelong strategy and that is crucial to online safety. As a fraud survivor myself, I'm passionate about listening to others and helping in their recovery process.

Please note, one of the support group guidelines is that you keep your video on during the session. People feel more secure in sharing if they can see one another. To promote safety in the session, this expectation is mandatory UNLESS unusual circumstances exist. If they do, the entire group must agree to let you participate without video. If consensus is not reached, we ask you to kindly return to a session at a time when video participation is possible. Thank you.
