About this meeting
Welcome! Building healthy habits is easier when you don’t have to do it alone. This live virtual meeting is a warm, judgment-free space where we come together to set intentions, share progress, and support each other through the ups and downs of building new habits into a meaningful life.
Each meeting includes time to share your current habit goals, check in on progress since our last session, and talk through any challenges you’ve been navigating — all at your own pace, with no pressure to have it all figured out.
This isn’t a class or therapy session. It’s a peer support space, which means we show up for each other as equals — sharing what’s working, what’s hard, and what we’re learning along the way.
Whether you’re just starting working on mental wellness habits, daily routines, self-care, or simply trying to stay consistent, you’re welcome here. No judgment. No pressure. Just real people supporting each other.
Small steps count. Showing up for yourself counts. As someone who is neurodivergent, I know firsthand how much group accountability can help with executive function challenges. If that resonates with you — Join us and let’s grow together.
This meeting is paired with a free group chat called Healthy New Habits - Accountability Group Chat - You can join by opening “My Chat" tab and then click “Discover Rooms”. Then search by keyword "habits" feel free to ask questions there or simply to check in between meetings. About the host
I’m a certified peer support specialist and coach living in Southern California, I host support groups meetings on HeyPeers and also work one-on-one helping support peers with BFRB recovery and recovery from other compulsive behaviors, habits and unhelpful thoughts. I identify as a neurodivergent woman and mother with ADHD, PMDD, and sensory differences. Since 2020 I’ve been in recovery from skin picking disorder (also known as dermatillomania and excoriation disorder). I’ve since learned that this compulsive habit is called BFRB - Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors. I believe in the power of community and have been attending various types of support groups since 2017. In my free time I like to craft with yarn and spend time outdoors hiking while looking for pretty rocks.
Motivation for help
After 4 years of successful recovery I knew I had enough recovery experience to be a helpful support for others struggling with compulsive habits. I decided to completed the training and testing to get my peer support certification, so I can be a productive helper from a place of lived experience. I’ve embraced my sensory needs and learned tools and strategies to stay recovered, and I love holding space for others to find their own healing and recovery.
I’m inspired to share my message of hope for the possibility of a better future by facilitating groups and holding space for one-on-one support, as well as offering encouragement and accountability.
