About this meeting
A welcoming, nonjudgmental group for people navigating addiction recovery alongside mental health challenges, including voice-hearing or unusual perceptions, mood challenges, depression, and anxiety. You’ll be met with empathy, understanding, and respect—not judgment or pressure to follow one particular path. The facilitator brings extensive lived experience and strengths in these areas, creating space to feel heard, share what helps, and build on your own resilience at your own pace.

About the host
I’ve lived enough chapters to know that the hardest stories can become the most powerful ones. I’m Victoria—a person who believes that authenticity, resilience, humor, and a genuine willingness to keep growing can change the course of a life. I’m naturally curious, deeply compassionate, and someone who wants to understand the “why” behind people, not simply judge the “what.” My own experiences have taught me perseverance, humility, accountability, and the value of being given a chance while you’re still figuring things out. They’ve shaped the way I see people: I look for potential where others may only see problems, and I believe people are far more than the hardest thing they’ve ever done. I love learning, connecting with others, finding creative solutions, and turning difficult moments into opportunities for growth. I bring warmth and authenticity into the spaces I enter, while also bringing determination, professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility. Integrity matters deeply to me, and I strive to leave the people I encounter feeling heard, respected, and valued. What makes me different isn’t that I have all the answers—it’s that I’m willing to keep learning, keep showing up, and keep looking for possibilities where others may have stopped looking. I’m constantly evolving, and I genuinely believe the best version of who we are is never the final version. I am a Certified Peer Support and Recovery Professional, with multiple strengths and trainings that have been fueled by my own lived experience. I currently have obtained trainings in: Mental Health First Aid, Ct Hearing Voices Network, Alternatives to Suicide, Supporting recovery during the transition to adulthood, Wellness Recovery Action Planning, Intentional Peer Support Core Training, Working together through barriers to treatment, Identifying and Intervening in the Early Stages of Psychosis, Recovery Professional Learning Collaborative - Opioid Use Disorder: Best Practices for Support & Healing, Setting Boundaries where it counts, Navigating Conflict, Utilizing Self-care and coping mechanisms, PTSD and trauma informed training, Supporting disabilities, Core concepts to homelessness, Supporting our veterans.
Motivation for help
I know firsthand that even the hardest chapters don’t have to define your future. With courage, support, and room to recognize your own strengths, change can become possible—one step at a time. The community helped me find hope when I needed it, and now I’m motivated to offer that same kind of encouragement to others. In my work, I create a supportive space to explore what matters to you, build on what’s already within you, and discover new possibilities for your life—at your pace and on your terms.
