About the host
I am a family nurse practitioner and have worked for several decades in primary care in different settings. In spite of this education, I found out several years ago that my education about schizophrenia was very outdated. Having a family member with schizophrenia has taught me a lot about the disease process and management. I am learning every day about Schizophrenia/psychotic disorders I hope to support others in their journey as while as advocate for changes in our current mental health system.
