About Rex
For the past five years, I have dedicated my time to providing Peer Support at a hospital diversion and warm line. Working with our Peers is a passion of mine, and I am committed to helping others in need.
My Recovery Story
After years of battling addiction, I found Peer Support, which marked the beginning of my genuine path to recovery. While working as a tech at a treatment center, I discovered Peer Support and felt compelled to become a Peer Support Specialist. After five years at the treatment center, I underwent Peer Support Training and secured a position at Safe Harbor, where I dedicated another five years. Now, I am embarking on a new phase of my recovery journey by offering Peer Support on Hey Peers.
My Motivation To Help
In my journey of recovery from addiction and mental health challenges, I find motivation in assisting others to transition from darkness to light. Witnessing a Peer navigate self-directed recovery and evolve into their desired self is genuinely inspiring.
