Hello! My name is Michael but I go by Mike. I am a Philly born Mid-Westerner who works at a crisis prevention center in Nebraska. I love birds and board/card games, and baseball. I am a pretty open book when it comes to my experience with recovery and I am always open to any questions and love striking up a good conversation.

My Recovery Story
My recovery experience has been life long. I was diagnosed with mental illness from my very first day at pre-school to this day. Mental illness and lack of understanding from my family led me down a dark path of self medicating and addiction. All of these circumstances ended up culminating into my first hospitalization. After many years of working to find the right medications, hospitalizations, and working to heal and better myself through therapy, I can say proudly that I am happy and functional.
My Motivation To Help
There are so many things that motivate me to want to help. I want to be an ear for those who feel isolated or unheard. I want to here about your good and bad days and develop a great professional relationship with you. You are what drives me to want to help because you matter and you never should feel or be told otherwise!
