I see myself as an agent of change, committed to empowering others. I am currently working as a Peer Support Specialist in Detroit, MI. I’m in long‑term maintenance and always striving to improve myself. Every time I’m able to meet and support someone in need, it feels like I’m making amends for the harm I caused when I was part of the problem in my past. I support people the way I wish someone had supported me — with respect, understanding, and real lived experience.
My Motivation To Help
When I went through my own struggles, it often felt like nobody understood me and nobody could truly relate. Over the years, I’ve heard that same feeling echoed by peers and people like me — people who slipped through the cracks and never received the support they needed. I’m here to be that missing link. I’m here for the ones who’ve been misunderstood, pushed aside, or overlooked. I’ve lived that life, and because of it, I can stand beside you with real understanding and real compassion.
