About Kelvin

I have been sober since March 6, 2009, and my life’s work is rooted in recovery, holistic healing and personal transformation. As an award-winning sound healer and co-founder of SoulCare Love, LLC, I draw upon both my lived experience and professional training to support individuals navigating addiction recovery, mental health challenges, and the journey of rediscovering purpose and well-being. My recovery journey was shaped through deep reflection, holistic practices, and intentional inner work. While incarcerated, I experienced peer support and witness firsthand the power of human connection, compassion, and community in the healing process. I also was introduced to sound healing, which helped me find moments of peace, clarity, and emotional balance during one of the most difficult periods of my life. These experiences transformed my understanding of recovery. During that same time, I realized that healing is not only about abstaining from substances, but about learning how to regulate the nervous system, reconnect with our emotions, rebuild relationships, and rediscover meaning and purpose in our lives. These experiences transformed my understanding of recovery. I realized that healing is not only about abstaining from substances, but about learning how to regulate the nervous system, reconnect with our emotions, rebuild relationships, and rediscover meaning and purpose in our lives. Through peer support and sound healing I strive to create spaces where individuals feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate their own paths toward healing and transformation. I have extensive trainings on sound healing and certifications in recovery coaching through the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR), recovery support specialist through Recovery University, Intentional Peer Support (IPS), and Black Mental Health & Healing Justice Peer Support through BEAM and extensive training on sound healing. I have shared my lived expertise at national and international events including the CCAR Multiple Pathways to Recovery Conference, Recovery 2.0, the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat in the Bahamas, Indie Yoga in San Francisco, the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, and the Connecticut Women’s Consortium. For me, recovery is about more than sobriety—it is about reclaiming your life, rediscovering your voice, and nurturing whole-person well-being. Through holistic practices like peer support and sound healing, I strive to help individuals reconnect with their inner strength and build lives rooted in dignity, purpose, and hope.

My Recovery Story

I sustain my own recovery by eating a plant-based diet, practicing sound healing, deep breathing exercises, listening to uplifting and relaxing music, body movement, and connecting with family and friends.

My Motivation To Help

We need each other during these unprecedented times. I am here to offer peer support through sound healing, meditation, deep breathing exercises and other holistic healing practices.
