Description

NAMI Family Support Group is a peer-led support group for any adult with a loved one who is living with mental illnesses. Gain insight from the challenges and successes of others facing similar experiences, build understanding and awareness, and connect with others. The groups are led by trained leaders with lived experience. Meetings are 90 minutes long. This group meets on the 1st Tuesday of the month.

Comments: NAMI Minnesota support groups provide a safe environment for all. We respect how people personally identify and ask that anyone attending a NAMI Minnesota support group do the same. NAMI Minnesota support groups are anonymous. Due to privacy and confidentiality, groups are not open to observers.
NAMI Minnesota

NAMI Minnesota champions justice, dignity and respect for all people affected by mental illnesses. Through education, support and advocacy we strive to eliminate the pervasive stigma of mental illnesses, affect positive changes in the mental health system, and increase the public and professional understanding of mental illnesses.

NAMI Minnesota offers many support groups for adults living with mental illnesses and their families. Our free support groups are led by trained volunteers with lived experience. Support groups provide a welcoming, respectful, and safe space to build awareness and understanding while learning from and connecting with others.  The two main populations we serve are adults living with mental illnesses and adults with loved ones who are living with mental illnesses.
