About The Host

My name is Josh Turzanski. My nationality is Italian and Polish. I was born and raised in Westminster, Colorado. I lived in Colorado until 2006 when I moved to Oklahoma. I currently reside in El Reno, Oklahoma. During my time in Colorado, I attended Westminster High School and graduated in 2001. After high school and during my time living in Colorado, I began a career in banking and various business administrative positions. During this time, I gained my knowledge with retail, banking, collections, call centers and office administration and management. After moving to Oklahoma in 2006, I began working in the newspaper industry as Director of Circulation. This position gave the knowledge in sales, leadership, management, accounting, and involvement with the community and Chamber of Commerce. After leaving the newspaper industry, I spend a few years working for Canadian County in the Court Clerk’s office managing the Family Domestic Division. This position gave me my knowledge of family domestic cases and divorce. I spent another six years in food service as a server and shift manager for Denny’s. My current employer is CSL Plasma. I work as a Medical Reception Technician; Designated Trainer and I coordinate our Community Outreach events. Throughout my careers I have been business minded and taught myself most everything in the business and management field. An interesting fact about me is that after graduating high school in 2001, I never attended college until now, twenty years later at the age of thirty-eight. When I first enrolled at University of Phoenix, my plan was to pursue an education in Business Management and continue until I earn my Doctorate in Business Management. This is still my goal as of today plus I have an interest in Psychology and Counseling. On a more personal level, I am single, I have no children, but I have two dogs. I have a four-year-old Pug named Mazi and a seventeen-year-old Dachshund named Matar. I adopted the Dachshund, Matar about six years ago. I got my Pug, Mazi at six weeks old and I have raised him since then. I enjoy reading and spending time with friends and family. I love learning new things and information. I tend to utilize Google quite a bit. My favorite movie is "Liar, Liar." I enjoy a wide variety of music from Country to oldies, the eighties and soft rock. I love to eat any Italian food at any Italian restaurant. I am currently participating in a mental health program. The program gives me access to group therapy and individual therapy. For quite some time, I have dealt with living with depression and generalized anxiety which includes anxiety attacks. This program has given me the opportunity to address these issues and resolve them through the therapy and medication. While working through this program, I discovered my passion for teaching, counseling, and therapy. This is the reason I want to pursue my education and career in Psychology and Counseling. I am very motivated and eager to pursue my education and begin working in the career I have grown to love and admire.
