This peer support service is designed to help adoptees navigate the complex emotions and questions surrounding their identity. Using the whimsical and surreal world of Alice in Wonderland as a metaphor, we’ll explore the “mad” journey of self-discovery that comes with being adopted. Just as Alice faced uncertainty, confusion, and growth in Wonderland, adoptees will reflect on their own experiences in a supportive and creative environment. • Exploring how adoption has influenced identity and the sense of belonging. • Discussing the conflicting feelings of identity that come with adoption (biological roots vs. adoptive family). • Tools for embracing the complexities of one’s identity. • Dealing with the disorienting feelings of being lost or unsure of one’s place. • Discussing moments of uncertainty and ways to regain clarity and direction. • How to trust your unique path even when it feels unpredictable. • Exploring relationships with both adoptive and biological families. • Discussing feelings of belonging, loyalty, and sometimes conflicting emotions within family structures. • Creating healthy boundaries and managing family dynamics.

About The Host

I understand that life can be incredibly challenging, and it’s okay to seek support. My journey has been filled with challenges, including being adopted, facing bullying, and dealing with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), alopecia, and infertility. These experiences have tested me but have also shaped who I am today, instilling in me a deep sense of empathy and a desire to support others. Completing a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) program provided me with the tools to manage my emotions and find hope. Now, I focus on providing peer support in areas like emotional regulation, self-confidence, and life transitions. I’m particularly passionate about creating unique programs that incorporate an Alice in Wonderland theme, helping people reflect on their journeys and personal growth. My goal is to be the kind of support I needed when I was struggling—to offer hope, guidance, empathy and understanding. I’d like to provide a safe and understanding space for you where you can explore your feelings and experiences without judgment. You don’t have to face your challenges alone; I’m here to walk alongside you.
