About this meeting
The Living Mindfully with Chronic Illness Support Group is a program offering mindfulness and self-compassion strategies for managing chronic illness. The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month from 6-7pm PST / 9-10pm EST and is facilitated by clinical social worker, Bartja Wachtel, MSW, LICSW, MHP, CMHS. *If you register and then cannot attend, please remove your registration to free up the space for another participant.

About the host
Mindfulness, Compassion, Positive Psychology are my great passions in live and sharing these practices is an honor. I work as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Mindfulness Educator. I am a trained Teacher in Mindful Self-Compassion out of UC SanDiego's Center for Mindfulness. I have a passion for supporting people who find themselves on the margins of society on their journey from birth to death, with a focus on people living with disability, chronic and terminal illness. I have been with CCI from its beginnings. It is an honor to work with such a compassionate organization.

The Center for Chronic Illness (CCI) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization promoting well-being and decreasing isolation for those impacted by ongoing health challenges through support and education. CCI offers free, peer support groups facilitated by licensed mental health professionals and Master's level mental health interns. CCI's programs are designed to bring people together who live with different types of health challenges and diagnoses, recognizing the shared emotional experience of many who are impacted by chronic illness. Please note, because we are a Seattle-based organization, all support groups are scheduled on Pacific Standard Time (PST).
