About this meeting
Farming & Homesteading offers benefits and is a great topic to connect with peers living and/or working in rural communities,
Lisa has provided peer support to individuals and family members all ages for many years. She also gained skills as a volunteer first responder in her community. She has many tales and insights from her adventures as an "accidental" farmer. living in the country, stretching resources, growing food, making homemade dishes, and taking care of all kinds of animals.
CJ is a peer with lived experience. She enjoys fiber arts, homesteading, bushcraft, and photography. Her knowledge and experience of animal raising began with the Trackers Earth camp and continues to her family farm with chickens and plans to launch a giant chinchilla rabbitry, working with wild fauna. She shares how to be self sustaining in a healthy way, to forage for foods and medicinal plants long forgotten to calm the mind and keep the hands busy with fiber arts, canning and preserving food, and preparing sourdough, ice cream and other heritage recipes.
