About the host
Hello! My name is Machaela, and I am a peer advocate living with schizoaffective disorder. I was diagnosed in 2024, and I became a support group leader to make sure that others don't feel as isolated and scared as I did when I was first diagnosed. As a peer and social work student, I am eager to help folks navigate their mental health challenges in a caring an compassionate way. Together, we will talk about tools and resources to help us live well with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and other psychosis-related conditions. Welcome to group!
