About T

I am a Certified Peer Support Specialist who has lived experience with depression, anxiety, and PTSD.

My Recovery Story

My recovery plan is something I work every day to maintain my wellness. I have learned to trust myself, gained confidence, and not let fear hold me back. Now I am not just surviving, but actually living my life.

My Motivation To Help

During the pandemic, I witnessed my son's struggles with his mental health. This impacted our whole family. We tried to get help, but our pleas fell on deaf ears. My family experienced a horrific incident which resulted in significant injuries and property damage before we received the assistance we needed. During this time, I struggled with my own mental health. I found the support I received from peers to be an invaluable part of my recovery. I wanted to use my lived experience to help others struggling with their mental health.

"TMac is nice. DBSA isn't nearly enough support. Like a bandaid for a bullet hole. "

"Not sure why they have you turn on the camera on check-in cause a few folk don't even show their faces "

"I wish check-ins were minimized because it takes far too long, and leaves very little room for sharing and feedback "
