Biography
I am a Certified Recovery Support Specialist and supervisor of a living room program for a community mental health agency. Additionally, I am an adjunct professor at Illinois Institute of Technology in the Recovery Support Certificate program. I identify as a person with lived experience in recovery for mental health.

My Recovery Story
I have lived with depression and anxiety for over 20 years. Throughout this time, I learned how to manage symptoms, value my mental and emotional health as well as helped others do the same. My journey, like so many others, has had significant effects on my life which have only made me a wiser and stronger person. Today I can talk about my diagnosis without shame and work to end the stigma of mental health.
My Motivation To Help
I have always had the heart of a caretaker. I am committed to educating and advocating for my community. There are times when I have felt alone and could have benefited from peer support. Because of this, I want to be that person for someone else. I don't want anyone to feel alone in their recovery journey.
