My Recovery Story

I have received so much support in my recovery from individual therapy in a myriad of modalities from Family Systems Therapy to EMDR, and have also experienced inpatient treatment both in facilities and hospitals, as well as in person and virtual support groups. I am now in a stable place where I have a strong support system and a trustworthy med manager that carefully helps guide my medication, as well as a personal therapist and a couples therapist. I also am currently attending a 10 week therapist-led support group for queer folks with religious trauma that is extremely helpful. I am looking for a job where I can use my interpersonal skills and strengths to pass the torch of hope to others.

My Motivation To Help

My motivation are the dozens of people in my life who have made a huge impact on my personal recovery and healing journey. From therapists, to peers, I have received so much wonderful help and support and my passion is to do my part to break down the stigma and isolation that comes with living with mental illnesses and pay it forward with supporting others on their path of healing.
