Accepting New Connections

Welcome to the power of peerness! There are many helpful resources available as we travel our recovery journeys. There are clinicians, in-patient facilities, treatment centers, day programs, etc. Peer support adds the secret sauce of compassionate, non-judgemental likemindedness to one's current services to remind ourselves and others of our wholeness.

My Recovery Story

When my feelings and behaviors were given a name, I felt like my identity was lost. Suddenly, there were no expectations, no responsibilities, and no freedoms. The moment I decided that my current existence was no longer acceptable, I stepped out of a place of overcast stagnation into a mindset where the possibilities are endless.

My Motivation To Help

I have been living alongside my diagnosis for over 30 years. I used to feel like I had a label pinned to my shirt that said, "patient." An individual in a support group helped me understand the difference between being "diagnosed with Bipolar," and "being Bipolar."
