About Anita

If you're carrying anxiety, trauma, or the weight of just getting through the day while still showing up for everyone else, you don't have to do it alone. I'm a Licensed Social Worker, Certified Peer Supporter, and Family Peer Supporter with lived experience navigating anxiety, complex trauma, and the ups and downs of mental health. I know how isolating it can feel when the people around you don't see what you're going through. I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. Whether you're navigating mental health challenges, difficult relationships, family stress, life transitions, or need someone to listen, I'm here to offer support. Together, we can talk through what's on your mind, explore coping tools and resources, and identify next steps that feel right for you. Peer support is a partnership grounded in lived experience, understanding, and mutual respect. I'm here to listen, encourage, and walk alongside you at your own pace.

My Recovery Story

My recovery has been a gradual process of learning how to understand my experiences, ask for support, set healthier boundaries, and respond to challenges in ways that protect my well-being. Recovery has not meant that life is always easy, but I now have greater self-awareness, stronger coping skills, and a deeper sense of purpose. Today, I am able to be more present for myself and my family, pursue meaningful work, and use what I have learned to support others. My quality of life is more stable, hopeful, and intentional, and I continue to grow along the way.

My Motivation To Help

My motivation comes from my own lived experience. During some of my darkest moments, I wished I had someone beside me who truly understood because they had been through something similar. I believe that when we make it to the other side, we have an opportunity to pay that support forward and help others feel less alone.
